MEET DONNA BROOKS
I have enjoyed a life rich in creative endeavors filled with both challenges and great rewards. I continue to welcome life as it unfolds, open to the possibilities. I am a mother, wife, educator, musician, and therapist. Thirty years of my adult life was devoted to education as a teacher in the public school system as well as being an early childhood teacher and parent educator in a Waldorf school. I have played music professionally since the age of twenty-five and shared the therapeutic quality of music as a volunteer in a local hospice setting. My work as a therapist weaves this life experience and ongoing learning together in support of the healing work that happens when we connect with Self and Source in a safe and honoring environment. My great joys are hiking, being in the natural world, spending time with family, making music, traveling, and striving to be in and enjoy the present moment. I am fulfilled spending time with my naturalist husband of over 27 years and seeing our two children maturing into adulthood. We all enjoy time with our rescue critters.

In addition to original songs, musicians Donna Brooks and Nick Horcher play a repertoire of varied singer-songwriter artists as well as contemporary and traditional roots-folk music. Their repertoire spans genres and generations. Storytelling and compelling melodies are the foundation of their repertoire. Donna Brooks brings a soulful love of music to her guitar playing and singing while Nick Horcher adds incredible dynamics with his bass and guitar playing.
